1 weekGrocery storeObtain all ingredients that you can purchase now. Leave as little as possible until the last moment, but a big shopping trip a week before will help you get a lot out of the way.
1 weekTimelineUsually, I provide a detailed timeline for the dinner. But in this case, you want your man/woman to feel comfortable and at ease. I recommend a very flexible timeline that you can change as needed.

Party DayStepNotes
MorningOystersMake a trip to the fish monger to pick up the oysters. They need to be super fresh.
MorningBedroom prepChange the sheets on your bed and, if you think your man/woman is staying over, have nice things for them in your bathroom (extra toothbrush, etc.)

2:30-3:30Set serving plattersSet up your serving platter for the crostini and line up all cups or bowls and plates you will be using in the area that you plan to serve and arrange the look the way you like. Have champagne and wine glasses ready.
